HOW TO PLAY KLICKSPORTS GAMES
1) Haven't joined yet?
It's simple. Click the JOIN NOW button at the top of the web page.
- a) Create a username and password
- b) Upload an image (optional)
- c) Enter your cell number to play live via automated text messaging (your standard fees apply)
- d) Add your Instant Messenger (IM) to play live online
- e) Add your Twitter account to post your predictions on Twitter (optional)
- a) Click the 'Home' button at the top of the page and click the 'Upcoming Games' tab.
- b) Click on a game that you want to join and then pick a team to play along with
- c) Make pre-game prediction(s) one or two are usually offered
- d) Receive game alerts and stats prediction questions for your selected team(s) live during the game(s)
- a) Join KS (how-to video)
- b) Join a game online (how-to video)
- c) Add your Phone (how-to video) or IM (how-to video)
- d) Answer questions over your phone during the game. Check out the some sample questions.

Your Notification settings are very useful for getting the most out of KlickSports.com. They contain the following platforms and options:
- a) Mobile Alerts - used for alerting users when games start, favorites play, open leagues start, favorite teams get final scores, and when to pause games.
- b) Instant Messenger (IM) Alerts - used for alerting users when someone 'follows', joins or invites them - can also be used for alerting users when games start, favorites play, open leagues start, favorite teams get final scores, and when to pause games.
- c) Email Alerts - used for periodical newsletter and Product Updates, alerting users when someone 'follows', joins or invites them, daily game schedule, or game outcomes from prior day's schedule.
After you join KlickSports.com tell your friends about us and tell them your username. When they join they can go your page www.klicksports.com/yourusername and click 'follow. You will then receive a notice via email or SMS (depending on your settings) stating you are being 'followed', with their username in a link. You can then click back to the site and 'follow' them as well. Now you're all set to play games together, comment on each others postings and send messages within the system. During the games you get cool leader boards with your up to the minute rankings so you can know how your buddies are doing.
7) How do I know what else my friends (followers/following) are doing?
KlickSports is all about being in the know about what games other people pay and the predictions other people make. You will always know what users you are following are doing by watching the 'Events' on your home page.
8) How does KlickSports work?
KlickSports is a real-time game. You join a game and you play along with a real sporting event by receiving questions about what is about to happen. With those questions you also get cool and relevant data about what has happened (scores and stats) so you can be up to date on what matters most about the game you are playing along with. The more you get right the more you score and the higher you rank. Invite your friends and you can play each other compare scores in real time as well.
9) What do I play for?
KlickSports users play for points and prizes (when offered) - the players with the most points win! See specific game promos for more info. See scoring below.
10) Scoring
KlickSports has two kinds of points that it awards its users:
- a) Game Points - based on the number of players in a game and the number of right and wrong answers submitted per question - (based on the percentages - i.e 20% of the players got a question wrong and you are right, so you were awarded 20 pts)
- b) League points - based on the number of players in a game divided by the total league points possible (i.e. you came in second, five players played and you won 278 pts out of 1,000 possible league points)
- c) Game rankings are based on the game points awarded during the game
- d) League rankings are based on the League points awarded after each game for the teams you play for. (i.e UCLA league - you won 50 game points but that equaled 237 League points)
So I get points during the game and they are what is used to rank me. By how I rank I get League Points? Did I get that right?
Yes! Here is how it works. During a game you answer questions. Each question will give you a certain number of Question Points. At the end of the game each player will have a sum of all question points (Game Total Points). Based on the Game Total Points players are ranked (Game Rank) the one with the most Game Total Points ranks the highest. League Points are awarded based on how each player ranked. The total of available League Points is determined by how many players are in the game Its simple, answer correctly as many questions as you can and recruit other to play too. The more people play the more League Points you can get.
What are points in question answers? (U won 70 pts since 70% of all answers were wrong)
These are Question Points you win for answering questions correctly. They are awarded based on percentage of wrong answers for that question. For example, if 2 people answered it wrong out of 10 that played it, 8 people would win 20 points for that question. This is great because it guarantees that hard questions are worth more and easier ones.
How is the Tiebreaker question scored?
For the Tiebreaker question, points are awarded based on distance of the answer to the correct value. For example, an answer that predicted the correct value will be worth 100 points, and the one furthest away will be worth 0. All the answers in the middle will be awarded the number of points relative to the distance of that answer to the correct value.
What are points that we get on Progress-Leaderboards during the game?
During the game you will get leaderboards that show you how you and your friends are doing. These display Game Total Points which are the sum of a player's Question Points for a game, including the Tiebreaker question points, up to the moment the game leader board is issued. They are a way for you to compete live with other people also playing the current game. At the end of the game you get your Game Rank based on your Game Total Points for that game and how many people played the game.
What happens to the Game Points I win while and after playing a game?
The Game Points you get during a game count only for that game for the purpose of ranking players at the end of the game. That is, game points are only used for you to get ranked for a game. At the end of the game you get your Game Rank based on your Game Total Points for that game.
What is the rank you get on League Leader Boards and on the thank you message? (U were 4th with 67 game pts, and won 126 out of 600 league pts.)
This is your Game Rank. These points ultimately are what you take with you to rank on KlickSport's leagues. It shows the position you are at compared to other people playing current game. The game rank is based on number of game points you have won. How you rank will be what counts to give you League Points. The more people play the more League Points you can get in the end.

The League Points are the number of points you earned from this game that gets added up to all your relevant leagues (HOF leagues, open leagues, team leagues etc). League points are calculated based on 2 things: your rank in the game and total number of people that played that game. Thus, the better you do, the more points you win. But also, the more people play the game, the more points are available to all players.
What are points shown in all leagues on the web site?
They are all League Points. It's a sum of all league points you earned from all the games you played.
We award prizes to the top players in any particular promotion - (i.e. top ten, top five or top three players per season, playoffs, Championship game etc) for a particular team, conference, or category (NCAA, professional leagues etc) . Occasionally a sponsor will offer daily game rewards or coupons as well. Play often and the higher you rank the more chances you will have at winning prizes (just check out the prizes links or our individual promo pages).
